Hi there. My name is Anne Bollin Johnston, but I love to be called AJ. I’m a I’m a Certified Financial Planner ™ and Certified Investment Management Analyst™ at a global wealth management firm in Los Angeles. My specialty is working with creative types and recipients of “sudden money” (inheritance, business sale, settlement) to create a vision and financial structure to support them in living well and on purpose.
Because I’m the sister of someone with special needs, I’m also devoted to helping families of loved ones with disabilities financially plan for the future. My own family roots are in Atlanta, Georgia, but after moving west to attend the University of Southern California, L.A. became home.
I’m as passionate about writing as I am about personal finance. It’s been a joy to see my work featured in publications like The Penmen Review, Psychology Today and The Atlanta Journal Constitution.
Other loves of my life include my partner, Travis, our schnoodle, Duke, exploring green mountain trails and dancing the Carolina Shag.
In case you were planning to tease me about that last one, keep in mind that I’m a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
